Mr. Vaughn is a litigation attorney in the Deutsch Kerrigan Gulfport, MS office. Recently, Mr. Vaughn was named to the The Best Lawyers in America© 2017 list for his work in Insurance Law.

Mr. Vaughn handles claims on medical malpractice, commercial litigation and transportation matters.  He also has experience handling insurance first party claims including bad faith and fraud investigation, commercial transactions including forming business entities, drafting wills and trusts, and closing real estate transactions.

Mr. Vaughn is admitted to practice in all state courts in Mississippi and Florida, as well as federal courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and the United States Courts of Appeal for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits.

  • University Club, Inc. v. Kolb, 667 So.2d 330 (Fla. 1st DCA 1995)
  • Boyd v. Pheo, Inc., 664 So.2d 294 (Fla. 1st DCA 1995)

Before law school, Doug worked briefly as a front line cast member at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom theme park where he was trained to provide the highest level of customer service.

Mr. Vaughn loves rooting for his alma mater, Mississippi State University, and is an active member of Gulfport’s Trinity United Methodist Church, where he has taught adult Sunday school classes and serves on the missions committee. He is married with two children.
