Construction is an Essential Service

The City of New Orleans and the State of Louisiana have issued notices identifying construction as an essential service and expects projects to continue during this time.

It is crucial that companies continue to take the necessary precautions to maintain social distancing efforts and cleanliness on site in order to ensure safety for all employees and their families.  A few suggested measures from the Louisiana Association of General Contractors includes:
    • Do not allow employees or patrons to come into close contact (within six feet) of each other at your project site.
    • Limit gathering opportunities by marking spaces for people to sit or stand that are farther than six feet away from each other.
    • Enact telework or remote work policies whenever possible to limit the number of people in one space.
    • Ensure handwashing areas are available to employees and patrons and encourage frequent handwashing.
    • Routinely use a disinfectant wipe or spray on high-touch surfaces in workspaces and public areas.
    • AGC is engaging Associate Member, Event Restroom ®, to offer assistance with providing handwashing stations.  You can place your orders with Edgar at 504.481.0244
