On March 15, 2017, Deutsch Kerrigan hosted the Loyola College of Law Siegenthaler-Sutherland Cup National First Amendment Moot Court Team for a practice round as the team prepares for their competition. Team members Samantha Spitale and Scott Hamilton, coached by Loyola 3L Henry Gerbracht, presented oral argument to a panel of four Deutsch Kerrigan attorneys who served as Justices of the Supreme Court of the United States for the practice round. Special partner Denia S. Aiyegbusi and associate Cassie Gailmor comprised the panel, firing questions at the well-prepared student attorneys.
Civil Litigation Department Vice-Chairman Jerry Glas stressed Deutsch Kerrigan’s commitment to supporting the legal community and the lawyers of tomorrow. “Our firm welcomes the chance to work with the next generation of lawyers. Their energy is contagious, and their natural ability is remarkable. We wish them good luck at the competition, and we know they will be excellent additions to the practice.”
The Siegenthaler-Sutherland Cup National First Amendment Moot Court Competition takes place March 24-25, 2017 at the Catholic University of America and the Newseum in Washington, DC.
