Quinlivan wins in MS Supreme Court

Matt Quinlivan, a partner in Deutsch Kerrigan's Gulfport, MS office, successfully achieved a great victory in the Mississippi Supreme Court on behalf of our client's attorney and their legal malpractice carrier, The Hartford. Originally, the defendant was sued in Vicksburg, Mississippi for malpractice in connection with his role as co-executor and attorney for a $15 million estate.  In October 2013, he was added as a defendant to a lawsuit which had already been scheduled for a November 2013 trial.  Hartford appointed Mr. Matt Quinlivan and Ms. Judy Burnthorn as defense counsel.

After being appointed as defense counsel by The Hartford, Mr. Matt Quinlivan and Ms. Judy Burnthorn tried the case as scheduled in Vicksburg in November 2013, resulting in a defense verdict in their client's favor.  After the Plaintiff's appeal, Mr. Quinlivan skillfully steered the matter through the appeal.  He handled the matter in the Mississippi Supreme Court, culminating in a ruling by the Mississippi Supreme Court upholding the defense verdict.
