Police Liability - Octave v. Sheriff

In 2009, Mr. Glas served as counsel for the Sheriff in the personal injury action entitled Octave v. Sheriff, No. 28753, Division D, 23rd JDC, Parish of St. James, LA. During the judge trial, Mr. Glas successfully defended deputies against claim they used excessive force when they shot plaintiff while executing a "no-knock" search warrant. After Mr. Glas cross-examined the plaintiff's police procedures expert, Judge Jane Triche-Milazzo granted the Sheriff's motion for an involuntary dismissal.
