Bank Directors - Insider Trading, Johnston, et al. v. Wilbourn

Mr. Kerrigan defended two banks and three of their officers, directors and shareholders who were sued in connection with the individuals’ purchase of the plaintiffs’ stock in one bank prior to the merger of the two banks. The defendants were sued for securities fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and RICO violations. After a week-long trial in Meridian, Mississippi, in which DK&S represented the interests of all defendants, the jury took just thirty minutes to return a verdict in favor of the defendants.
