Amber B. Barlow, a partner in Deutsch Kerrigan’s Toxic Tort and Environmental Group, has been appointed chair of the Young Lawyers Committee of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel (LADC).
Founded in 1963, the LADC endeavors to create quality CLE tailored to individual practices while educating and training our members. The Young Lawyers Committee was formed in 2014 and allows younger members of the LADC to participate and gain exposure in their field of interest. Through the development of this committee, young lawyers within the LADC speak at almost all organization seminars, write columns for the LADC monthly newsletter, and organize their own mini-series.
“I am honored to assume the chair role for the Young Lawyers Committee this year,” said Amber Barlow. “I look forward to developing programming that will create opportunities for networking and collaboration.”
Amber represents manufacturers, retailers, distributors, and premise owners in complex litigation matters, including environmental litigation, toxic tort litigation, and premises and products liability. She handles all phases of representation from initial case assessment, pre-trial discovery and depositions, motion practice, mediation and negotiations, through to trial.
