Derek Graves is an Associate in the firm’s Civil Litigation Department where his practice centers in the areas of commercial and business litigation and insurance defense.
Derek received his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2020. He was a member of the Maritime Law Journal, Loyola Moot Court Team, Sports & Entertainment Law Society, Black Lawyer Student Association and Phi Delta Phi Honor Society.
As an undergraduate at Loyola University in New Orleans, Derek was a shooting guard for the school’s basketball team. He believes that being an athlete and a full-time student strengthened his discipline, work ethic and communication skills. Derek was also initiated into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. where he participated in several community service projects and on-campus programs.
