Ormsby Appointed to ABA Law Committee

Barbara B. Ormsby toxic tort attorneyBarbara Ormsby has been appointed as Diversity Vice-Chair to the Toxic Torts and Environmental Law General Committee for the 2018-19 bar year. This leadership appointment is assigned to members who possess a clear recognition of competence and experience, commitment to TIPS, and reputation among our nearly 18,000 TIPS members.

Barbara will begin one-year term of this appointment on the last day of the 2018 ABA Annual Meeting in Chicago and will end on the last day of the 2019 Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA.

About Barbara Ormsby

Barbara is a partner in the firm's New Orleans office defending manufacturing companies and premises owners in a variety of chemical exposure cases, asbestos exposure cases and other types of personal injury claims. She also has experience handling asbestos property damage and building abatement claims, as well as protecting the interests of manufacturers, premise-owner and employer defendants. 

About the TIPS Toxic Torts and Environmental Law General Committee

The Toxic Torts and Environmental Law Committee addresses all issues relating to litigation and regulation involving toxic tort, mass torts, hazardous waste, chemical and pharmaceutical exposure, and food-borne illnesses. The committee also studies environmental liability matters; compliance with environmental laws; and insurance coverage relating to these issues.
